Anime/Manga Club   The Norwell Public Library's Anime/Manga Club for teens in grades 7 through 12 meets monthly to talk about Japanese anime and manga (and graphic novels), view anime clips, and share artwork and script writing. Pizza and soda are served. Newcomers and regular attendees alike are requested to register for each program (see "Calendar of Events" or call the library).

Norwell Youth Library Council (YLC)   The Norwell Youth Library Council offers youth in grades 4 through 8 the opportunity to serve their community in a variety of ways.  Under the guidance of the youth services librarian, YLC members aid in the selection of library materials, plan and implement library programs, and offer suggestions for enhancing library services.  No qualifications for membership are necessary other than a desire to participate in community service. The Youth Library Council meets one Saturday a month -- please refer to the online Calendar for dates and times.

Community Service Opportunities for Young Adults
The following volunteer opportunities are available on an ongoing basis. Hours are designed to fit with your schedule. These are terrific ways to fulfill your community service hours!

• Children's Room Aide
  Assist in the children's room with shelving books (no experience necessary, we will train you!), updating bulletin boards, photocopying, Summer Reading Program activities, and more, depending upon your interest.  To apply, fill out the Student Volunteer Form (go to "About Us" and "Volunteer Opportunities" to locate the pdf file) and drop it off at the library.
• Reference Help
  Photocopy articles from local newspapers relating to Norwell people or events for the library's vertical file. One hour per week minimum commitment.
