The Friends of the Norwell Public Library invite all to attend the SPRNG OPENING OF FRED-THE-SHED Saturday, May 5th, 10am – 2 pm. There will also be a PLANT SALE featuring donations from the Friends, annuals courtesy of R&C Farms, Route 123 in Scituate, perennials donated by Forget-Me-Not Gardens, of Norwell and seeds from Norwell’s Seed Lending Program inside the Library.
Starting Monday, April 23rd media donations of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and books on tape will be accepted at Fred-the-Shed. Please leave in the storage containers outside The Shed. Please do not leave any donations outside, uncovered. Not accepted are magazines, videotapes, encyclopedias, textbooks older than 2010, or any damaged items.
Plant donations may be left outside Fred-the-Shed at any time. If possible, please label plants with their name and habits for example: needs sun, spreads easily, etc.
Fred-the-Shed is the little building in the woods, along the side of the Norwell Public Library. From early May to early October, Fred is open for business staffed by volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer at Fred-the-Shed there are a sign up sheets at the Circulation Desk in the Library. All monies raised by Fred-the-Shed fund Library Programs and Museum Passes available at the Library.
