What's New
"Early Literacy Station"
The Children's Room has a new computer, but not just any computer; it's an "Early Literacy Station" designed especially for library use. This durable, child-friendly computer is loaded with more than forty top-rated developmental software titles in a full range of curriculum areas including reading, writing, phonics, math and problem solving, science, social studies, arts, and reference-- geared to Pre-K through third grade users. Two headsets enable a second child or adult to join a session simultaneously. The purchase of the AWE Early Literacy Station was made possible by a generous donation from the Norwell Women's Club. Try out the station on your next library visit.
"Playaways"
A digital audiobook smaller than a deck of cards, the Playaway is loaded with one to several titles that a child can easily listen to on a plane, train or car ride. Playaways may be borrowed for two weeks. Find our children's collection of Playaways on the bottom shelf at the end of the J Biography section.
