About Us
The Norwell Public Library provides materials, programs and services to satisfy the needs of a diverse population, from babies through centenarians. Ever since opening day in March 1975 Norwell Public Library has remained committed to serving the people in Norwell. The library’s collection includes books, magazines, newspapers, videos, DVDs, compact discs (music and software), large-print books, audio and electronic books, puppets, and Playaways. Pick up the latest bestseller.
In-library services include wireless laptop access anywhere in the library. Patrons may also sign up to use five Internet-connected computers in the adult area; in the Children’s Room, two computers have Internet access in addition to the online public access catalog (OPAC). Computer skills instruction is offered free of charge on an individual basis. Museum passes, book delivery to the homebound and Nursing Homes, speakers, book discussion and writer’s groups, story hours, craft and animal programs, and special events for all ages are ongoing year-round to provide opportunities for Norwelians to connect with their neighbors.
We are your doorway to the Internet, your passport to museums and partner to community resources in the area. If you unable to visit the library in person, volunteers will visit your home with “Books to Go.”
Our librarians are your best resource. They are here to assist you with your questions and concerns with helpful and accurate information.
